Biomimetics refers to the repair of affected dentition mimicking the characteristics of a natural tooth in terms of appearance, biomechanics, and functional competencies.

The oral health promotion philosophy is a different approach to dentistry. It’s a preventive approach in which the dentist acts more as a guide, clarifying and sharing knowledge with patients, empowering them to intervene in the disease process by changing certain behaviours and perceptions about how it happens.
