Food particles or sugar stuck in teeth are a breeding ground for bacteria.
These bacteria then ferment the food and produce acids which dissolves the minerals of the tooth. This leads to the demineralization of the surfaces of teeth which appear like black colored holes on the tooth surface. Need a dental check-up? The best way to treat sensitive teeth is by visiting a dentist who can identify the underlying cause and determine the best course of action for treatment. Your dentist may suggest desensitizing toothpaste or fluoride treatments in order to reduce tooth sensitivity.

Floss can clean places that your toothbrush can’t reach. To floss properly:
* Break off about 18 inches of floss and wrap it around your middle fingers. * Use your thumbs and forefingers to hold the floss tightly so there’s an inch or two of it between your fingers. * Guide that middle section between your teeth, wrap the floss around one tooth (in a “C” shape), and rub up and down the length of that tooth seven to 10 times. (Note: Friction is necessary to remove plaque from your teeth surfaces. Water flossers are great for removing large pieces of food and debris. But if you use a water flosser, be sure you also use regular floss.) * Now, wrap the floss around the neighbouring tooth and repeat these steps. If you haven’t been flossing, there might be some bleeding and discomfort for the first few days, but that should go away. Need a dental check-up? Your dentist will have you complete a health history questionnaire on your first visit. We do a comprehensive examination where all aspects of your oral health will be evaluated. Assess your risk of decay and gum disease, and a careful preventive examination of early signs of oral cancer. We will check your bite and the relation between your jaws looking for any signs of disorder that could lead to more serious conditions including recurrent headaches and migraines. Intra oral radiographies, as necessary, for diagnosis of early interdental carious lesions and/or infiltrations on the current restorations. We will demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques and coach you to improve or maintain your oral health. ******* Book your appointment with Dr Italo Carpes Moraes Call 0203 659 7249 WhatsApp +44 7903 782697 https://www.icmdentistry.co.uk/book-now How Do I Effectively Clean My Tongue?
Cleaning your tongue effectively is essential for maintaining fresh breath, and removing plaque and bacteria from your mouth. The best way to clean your tongue isn’t actually with a toothbrush. It’s with a tongue scraper. The next best thing is with a toothbrush. Make sure to not skip this step after thoroughly flossing and brushing your teeth to maintain fresh breath and good oral health. ******* Book your appointment with Dr Italo Carpes Moraes Call 0203 659 7249 WhatsApp +44 7903 782697 https://www.icmdentistry.co.uk/book-now |
